Here is a little
about our Wine Bar:
My wife and I are the sole owners of our first business
venture. We are very hands on and will work virtually every
night on the floor making sure guests are lead in the right
direction and their experience is genuine.
The Back Wine Bar is located in the busy Raley’s at
the Parkway shopping center located at Blue Ravine Road
and E. Natoma St. We occupy a small corner space of about
900 square feet. The bar will seat about 24 people inside
and about 16 people on our 400sq ft outside dining patio.

We serve approximately 30 wines by
the glass with a unique selection of wines by the bottle

Wines are available in 3oz tastes
and 6oz glasses

4 different flight selections of wine

3 Premium Beers on tap with a selection
of bottles to choose from

Weekly wine
tastings are held all night every Wednesday and 25%
off all food.

We will hold small monthly wine
education classes for groups on Sundays with reservations

Wines are also available to go for
retail purchase at a discount

A monthly wine club will be featured
in the coming months allowing guests to pick up their
wines at the bar

The focus of our food will be
on the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on. Our
menu will focus on fresh, local and seasonal ingredients
at great price points. The small plates will be a great
addition to accompany the wine.
As far as myself, I have 16 years of restaurant experience,
I am certified by two wine organizations, the Court of Master
Sommeliers-Certified level and the International Sommelier
Guild- Diploma level. Educated at the University of Nevada,
Las Vegas, I have been featured as an expert on the subject
in numerous publications such as The Sacramento Bee, The
Natomas Journal and Comstock Magazine, as well as a recent
segment of KOVR 13 NEWS’ “Call Kurtis.”
I have been instrumental in management and wine list decisions
for such upscale establishments as Stein Eriksen Lodge in
Park City, UT, Meadowood, located in Napa Valley, The Girl
and the Fig located in Sonoma and the recently opened and
popular 58 Degrees & Holding in downtown Sacramento.
